Position and Experience

Sarah Malcom is a forensic analyst with Forensic/Strategic Solutions, PC. Ms. Malcom specializes in the areas of forensic accounting, fraud examination, and litigation consulting.

Ms. Malcom joined Forensic/Strategic Solutions, PC, after receiving her Master of Business Administration at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), where she previously obtained her Bachelor of Science in accounting and criminal justice. Ms. Malcom also completed an academic concentration in forensic accounting and IT auditing at UAB, during which she conducted thesis research to determine the extent of occupational fraud in the state of Alabama. Her manuscript was published in part by Fraud Magazine, a publication of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Malcom worked in public accounting for a Big 4 firm as an audit intern. She was also selected as an Honors Intern at the Federal Bureau of Investigation in 2008, during which time she worked at the Criminal Justice Information Services division in Clarksburg, West Virginia. While in West Virginia, Ms. Malcom was responsible for the accounting behind a major Bureau IT initiative. Following her completion of the Honors Internship and throughout her graduate studies, Ms. Malcom continued to volunteer at the Bureau’s Birmingham Field Office, where she was assigned to the White Collar Crime and Public Corruption Squad.

While completing her degrees at UAB, Ms. Malcom assisted Forensic/Strategic Solutions, PC as an intern.
