Bill Dameworth & Kelly Schmid to Speak at NCBA 2017 Family Law Section Fall Program

Bill Dameworth, member in charge of valuation services, and Kelly Schmid, director of valuation services, will be presenting at the North Carolina Bar Association’s (NCBA) 2017 Family Law Section Fall Program – “A Taxing Day for Family Lawyers: Tax Traps, Strategies, Basics & More” – on September 15, 2017, in Greensboro, North Carolina. Their seminar is entitled, “Tax Issues with Business Entities in ED Settlements.”

During the session, Bill and Kelly will be speaking on tax issues arising from the sale of companies and interests in companies, the redemption of stock or ownership interests, asset distributions and determining gain, among other issues in equitable distribution settlements. The conference is hosted by the NCBA Family Law Section, and attendees will qualify for 6.5 hours of CLE credit.
